In fact, she introduces him as her oldest friend, and at times as the man who taught her a great deal of what she knows. Vincenzo is excellent at what he does and his security staff strictly enforces the House Rules. Anyone in serious breach of those rules gets tossed overboard. He has never been anything but unfailingly polite to the patrons of the ship, but if one spends enough time around him, it is soon apparent that he has seen little that impresses him. Petra is at a loss to explain his instant disdain and open dislike for Vikund that is completely at odds with his usual polite demeanor. In the time since he relocated to Amber, the years have seemed to melt away from Vincenzo, giving him a younger appearance than his years. |
