Jurt, you have proven that, despite the vicissitudes of sibling rivalry, especially in a competitive environment such as the Courts of Chaos, that one can rise above that to be come a valued friend and ally to your brother, Merlin. You also hold many secrets in the palm of your hand, but I would not be so rude as to press you on any of them.

If you could bring one thing or idea from the Courts and make it a part of the fabric of Amber, what would it be, and why?

The House structure. Much of it is reflected here by the Houses' own presence, but it's the rare native Amberite that understands the rules, written and unspoken that govern our lives. It makes them unpredictable, unless you've dedicated yourself to studying their mannerisms.

Do you believe that Mandor has your brother's best interests at heart? If not, what are you going to do about it?

My opinion on Mandor's interests? Self incrimation would suit my opponents well, now wouldn't it? My eldest brother's concerns coincide more with the King's than most would know. As to what actions I might take, I'd be sure that our House retained its position, whatever it might take.

Do you ever wish that your brother was more interested in actually ruling, instead of leaving everything to Mandor?

When the King's perrogative turns to such matters, I have no doubt in his abilities.

What are your feelings regarding Mandor?

I trust him in all things. [weg]

What do you look for in a girlfriend?

Interesting question. I've always appreciated a woman who shares some of my interests and most importantly has the ability to laugh. Commitment is a difficult proposition with the machinations of politics, but finding true intimacy, well... it's worth it, yes? That being said, I've been known to admire brunettes and have a weakness for long legs.

What one event or thing helped you overcome your sibling rivalry with Merlin?

It wasn't long after Merle originally met Corwin. The sudden appearance of his father so soon after overcoming the Logrus madness was jarring for him. The next few colors were difficult and... well, I'm not sure... Something crystalized in me, knowing that he needed me and it cut through all the petty jealousies. Together we were stronger than apart. I don't want a crown, and couldn't even wear the one he does.

I've heard it rumored that there's a direct relationship between the size of man's horns in demon form and the size of his ... um ... well. Would you care to comment?

[grins] "All whose origins involve Chaos are shapeshifters," my mother once told Corwin. If you'd like to discuss further how large something might be to interest you, we could retire to my rooms in the Castle, but I doubt that I'll disappoint even without relying on such powers.

How is your relationship with Mandor, who has essentially taken the power inherent in the throne from Merlin and for himself?

If that's the impression you have, then perhaps you don't understand Merle's delegation techniques.

Rumor has it Order and artifacts of Order fascinate you. When/how did this begin? Are you equally interested in Artifacts of Chaos?

Not long after I arrived in Amber I was drawn to some of the writings in the Royal Library. It's always been a concern of the monarchy that at sometime the Last Regent might return from his own Order spawned abomination and not as an ally of his own son. When that time comes, I hope to have the knowledge to help support the Throne in eradicating that problem.

As to items of Chaos, while all of Order was derived from Chaos, there are few that pertain to my particular studies.
