HelenaIndex | Time Under Chaos | Player Characters | Helena  Helena Barimen-Ishtar is the daughter of Fiona and Mandor and the younger twin to Clytemnestra. After the War, when Fiona considered imprisonment versus marriage, she chose marriage to Lord Ishtar, for Torren Ishtar, although only Lord of a minor House, certainly was the lesser of the two evils. After they married, Torren discovered Fiona had twin daughters hidden in shadow and he pulled strings on Fiona's behalf to allow her to keep one. Torren adopted Helena and she came to live with them—besides enjoying watching her grow up, she made an excellent live-in hostage against Fiona's good behavior. Helena was sheltered in House Ishtar. Ashamed at her inability to shapeshift, which marked her as Outsider and Amberite, Helena concentrated her efforts on what she could do well: dance and swordplay. Fiona encouraged her in these endeavors, and saw that she had all the training that was proper for a young noblewoman to have in the Courts. And then she saw that Helena had all the training that was proper for a young daughter of hers.
