Acquitors often work on behalf of their particular House, although an Acquitor can be hired by anyone who is unfamiliar with the territory, House, Shadow, or region that the Acquitor specializes in. An Acquitor must have a number of survival skills, social skills and above all, strong knowledge of the area in question in order to be effective. People who hire Acquitors usually provide the equivalent of a power of attorney to the Acquitor to allow her to negotiate with potentates and powers of the realm in question on the guided person's behalf. Acquitors by definition have status or goodwill within the realm that they are familiar with. |
