InvestigatingTheQueenIndex | Time Under Chaos | Game Logs | Investigating the Queen The Trump card brought them to an elegant office that Tear had seen earlier. Mandor had seen it the night before, but the paintings had changed. The Russian Blue napping on the brocade covered fainting couch gave the party the look of disdain that only a cat can manage, and then went right back to napping. Petra let go of Mandor's hand and moved quickly across the room and down the stairs that were open to the lounge on one side. It was clear that something had occurred on the floor, but the staff was working the crowd and Talon was playing something light and soothing on the piano. Antonia looked up at the movement on the stairs and crossed the floor to meet Petra at the base, and the attention of many in the lounge was on Petra to gauge the seriousness of the situation. She knew this. She was smiling and looking only vaguely interested even as she questioned Antonia in quiet Cornoran. " Ch'é successo?" Antonia studied her nails as she replied, also looking unconcerned as they continued walking across the floor. "Un Rosa attacato primo temporizzatore. Zito, Niccolo, Goran e Portia escorted il gruppo via. Alla tenuta. Poco dopo, era come qualcosa esplosa sotto noi." "Delle lesioni?" Petra asked casually. "Niente di serio che senta finora." Antonia shrugged, then moved off to deal with a member of the AEgyptian party that was partaking generously of the currently free alcohol. Petra didn't bother seeing if the rest were following her through the well dressed crowd. Damien gave Mandor an interrogatory look, then followed. Mandor remained behind. He moved over to one side, seemingly to watch was happening in the room. Delluth took a moment to appreciate the office's decor, including the paintings and even the cat, before moving (with a cordial nod to Damien) to walk beside Tear. But this didn't seem like a time to talk to her. Instead, he concentrated on invoking Logrus Sight again while walking down a flight of stairs. And his headache had just started to ebb, too. Solitaire wrinkled her nose upon reappearing in a silver shimmer and steadied herself as the ground solidified beneath her. She stepped away from the group, cradling the candle in her hands; its flame twitching with agitation. Silently, she followed the others. When Delluth came up beside her, the young Baroness offered him a slight smile. He could see oily coils of the Logrus circling the corners of her eyes. But perhaps more importantly, he noticed that the gentle light that had always been there was now unsettlingly absent. She maintained a polite distance as they explored. As Petra started off across the room, Delluth looked around with the Sight in play. They didn't seem to have changed the decor significantly since the times he'd been here, back when it first opened. Then he followed the others, but also bent toward Tear and murmured, "Did you catch all that? What did they say happened?" Solitaire's gaze met her mentor's and she shrugged. "The dialect is a little confusing at times, so I didn't catch all of it. But apparently Goran and a few others were escorting someone to a private location on the ship. An explosion followed shortly after, but no serious damage has been reported." (Continued in A Sticky Situation)
