Basic point here is that these artifacts will work about anywhere Logrus does, and can channel and hold more energy than an equivalent Shadow-powered item. In Game terms, this allows you to create artifacts up to the 8 points level, or being Logrus tendrils (well, sort of...). The problem is, you must be next to the Logrus to create such items.
