Chadwick Plot: VikundIndex | Time Under Chaos | Game Logs | PreGameLogs | Chadwick Plot Vikund "No time like the present!" Morgan answered. "Seize the day! Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we may be on the run from something really nasty. Chaddie, I'll leave you to Lily. Lily, very nice to meet you, I'm sure we'll talk later. Come along, Ingrey, diplomat-at-large, let us descend upon the food and talk of many things." Merlin made no attempt to excuse himself. He simply headed for the suite he made his own (making sure, nonetheless, to circumvent Larissa in the library on his way to the master bedroom he reserved largely for his own use - with selected company). He also had an arm wrapped around one twin; clearly, he had no intention of letting such bounty escape. The other twin smirked at Antonia and grabbed the bottle of Fire Wine as she followed her sister and Merlin, and Antonia let out a breath as she watched the trio's exit. Ingrey held up the hand attached to the arm which was not wrapped about his own Favorite's. "Sorcha and I have already eaten, Morgan. We were looking to take some coffee on deck before engaging in a traditional chess match." Ingrey explained. Vikund watched the gentlemen disperse with wry amusement. When he was sure the coast was clear, he topped up his glass and went to look for Ramon, carefully giving Antonia a wide berth. Ramon, he discovered, was not far away at all. He was to be found at the base of the stairs to Petra's office, attempting to sweet talk the tall brunette wearing the leather jacket. By the look in her eye, it was easy to tell she was trying to decide if tossing Ramon to the fishes was worth the reprimand she was sure to get from her employer if she did. "Evening all," Vikund said affably. "Things seem to be going swimmingly, don't they? I must admit I was hoping for rather more entertainment before they all paired off." "How very thoughtless of them," Portia said impatiently. "Ramon, please take your little friend and go away before I send for Vincenzo and make enough excitement even for you two." "Easy now, my little porcupine," Vikund replied. "No offense intended. I'm sure Vincenzo has much better things to be doing than worrying about little me." "Perhaps we best leave the lady to herself, hmm?" He suggests to Ramon Ramon flashed a toothy grin to Portia. "Very well. For now." Portia merely sniffed disdainfully and turned her attention back to the floor, dismissing them both. "Come, my friend." Exclaimed Ramon as he turned to Vikund. "Let us leave her to miss us. Have you had dinner? Sergio has a spectactular dessert this evening." "Splendid! It's been too long since I sampled Sergio's cuisine." Vikund replied. "En route you can tell me who's with whom, and deliberate on outcomes. Perhaps even a wager or two?" "Ha!" Ramon laughed as they started for the dining room. "There are the twins and His Majesty, The Ambassador and his Sorcha, Chadwick and our little flower, the delegate from Estruca has been tucked away with Ornella since he boarded, while his wife is falling for the spell of Stalmos. Edward is with some lovely women from town, though I cannot recall her name, and Petra is hidden away with the Prime Minster." He looked at Vikund and tsked before continuing. "Aura has something planned for later, though I have no idea what. She is being very coy tonight. Allegra is over in the corner with the Sultan of the Northern Quarter, Antonia is in dire need of a drink about now, and Janelle will be watching the floor should Antonia take a guest tonight, Dawn is in one of the salons, with... well, I'm not sure who, and the lovely Zarina is wherever Petra dropped her off." "Talen is playing, Gino is running a game; Armand is overseeing the dining room for another hour or so; Vincenzo, Alex, and Angelo are out on deck, Sergio was at the bar dancing attendance on some Kashfan noble *and* his lovely wife." "Then, of course, there is me," he said dramatically with a broad smile. "And I am not entirely sure what I am doing beyond keeping you out of Vincenzo's hair and keeping you in one piece until Petra can yell at you later." "Avoiding being jettisoned overboard, is what you're doing," Vikund replied amiably. "Though there is an omission from your list. What's Morgan up to? I must admit, I knew he had a measure of chutzpah, but him bringing Chadwick here without his mother's consent ranks above his usual tricks." Ramon laughed. "Ah, is that the story? In the land of my boyhood, when a young man comes of a certain age, he is gifted with a visit to an establishment such as this, though not so grand... A Rite of Passage to Adulthood. It is good of the Captain to take the role of the father in this stage of young Chadwick's life." "I shall tell him that when he gets hauled over the coals, I'm sure it will be a great comfort," Vikund chuckled. "I wonder if Chadwick knows he has an adoptive father now? I suppose he still has no clue of what's going on, but he'll find out soon enough. Let's hope he gives in gracefully and doesn't try to swim for it." "He did bring to mind a trapped rabbit," Ramon admitted. "But Lily is a very sweet girl. I'm sure he'll be fine." They stepped into the dining room and Ramon waved a hand. As if summoned, the slender form of Melanie appeared beside them. "Good evening, gentlemen."
