Uncle GloomyIndex | Time Under Chaos | Non-Player Characters | Non-Canonical NPCs | Uncle Gloomy Gilliam Eynhollow  Gilliam and Casnodyn Eynhollow were brilliant young Artificers in the service of Amber. Their mechanical skills and architectural know-how made them very popular during the Reconstruction. The younger and more vibrant of the pair, Gilliam spent most of his time trying to establish a name for himself in the courts, working for high-paying nobles and rubbing shoulders with the intellectual elite. However, all that changed when his older brother was murdered in the streets while trying to protect his new wife and child. Suddenly, he found himself thrust into the role of godfather for a half-breed baby, Tear. Although Gilliam was forced to give up his dreams of grandeur to raise the child, he has never regretted it or has felt resentful towards his niece. Instead, he built up a small, but profitable business making exquisite clocks and music boxes. He has had work commissioned by several prominent Chaosians and Elders alike. His shop now features prominently in the Five Corners business community. Indeed, rumors abound that he will soon be invited onto the Ward’s city council. Gilliam has been his niece’s anchor since she was born. He taught her everything he knows and made sure her birthright was preserved. His brooding manner earned him the nickname, “Uncle Gloomy,” a title he wears like a badge of honor. Although he loves his niece as a daughter, of late he has begun thinking of raising a family of his own. With Tear now living on her own, his eyes have turned toward his old friend E’lbram; a Rebman woman that helped him raise Tear over the years. Unfortunately, neither has had the courage to admit their feelings for one another. |
