Fire OaksIndex | Time Under Chaos | Settings | Arden | Fire Oaks  The Fire Oaks of Arden, though running through all the reflections of the prime, are by no means the majority of the many varieties of the woods. But they are the most breathtaking. Consequently, they are a protected species and anyone caught trying to cut down an ancient oak or uproot a sapling, meets with swift and certain justice at the hands of whichever Ranger is closest. There is something eerie about these trees that lend credence to the tales of their being aware and able to speak to the Rangers. These tales were further heightened by those forces of Chaos that survived the fury of Arden's returning forces after Patternfall. The trees, they say, fought back, and those that stumbled too close become food for the Oaks, whose distinctive flame colored leaves were blood red the following season. The Guardians of the Grove are men and women who make up the herbalists, astronomers, and caretakers of Arden's Fire Oaks. The owls of Arden act as messengers between them and the Warden.
