Rosemary Allegra Zelioni, Esq.

Scion of Epona

Growing up in a rambling farmhouse in Durham, Connecticut, Rosemary assumed that her skill with horses came from the fact that she was always around them, and because her father is an acclaimed trainer of both horses and riders. As a matter of course, she became a competitive equestrian by her teenage years, but the incessant bickering of her colleagues and the tragic death of her best horse due to a training accident caused her to drop out of competition the summer before she turned sixteen. (Her sister Victoria is still competing, while her brother Marcus inexplicably defected to landscaping and architecture at an early age.)

Turning her energy and focus to school, Rosemary picked up her flagging grades and, while attending Trinity College in Hartford, settled on the legal profession and went to Yale Law School. At 25, she has just graduated from Yale and is starting on her career with a coveted appointment as a law clerk in the state Superior Court back in Hartford. While at Trinity, she joined the Connecticut First Company of the Governor’s Horse Guard (which, in addition to its ceremonial functions, is also technically a National Guard auxiliary unit, and serves on the Community Emergency Response Team as a search & rescue unit). That gives her a needed outlet for her athletics habit outside the gym.

She has always been told that her mother simply left (which is not hard to believe, as Eduardo Zelioni can be a difficult man – brilliant and dedicated, but difficult). Her sister and brother are adopted. In fact, the only relative the kids have ever had much contact with is Eduardo’s sister Emilia, and even she has only swooped in every few years when her international consulting business brought her into the region.
