KadynNyxKadyn is a very laid back young man who likes magic, but isn't as enthused as anyone else in his family was when they got their letter. He isn't very trusting and isn't easy to be trusted. He is mischievous, but at the same time he always watches his own hide. A fizzing whizbang may be found under his sister's pillow, but their is no proof he did it. He lives with his mother Harriet, his father Ryan, his older brother Cole who has just finished his 7th year at Hogwarts, and his younger sister Cecelia who will most likely start School in 2 years. Kadyn's family owns a shop in Hogsmeade. They bought it when they abandoned they're muggle born lives before having Kadyn, and so they bought the shop, an abandoned atempt at a wand shop (put out of buisness by the shop at Diagon Alley) and completely transformed the place into a cafe and a home. Kadyn Calls himself a "Mud-blood Born", which pisses off his parents so much that his mother stole all his tips for a month last time he said it. Kadyn frequently waits tables and only gets paid in tips, but wastes the money frequently at Zonko's for tricks to play on his little sister Cecelia. He doesn't care for wand magic that much. He could be plenty good at it, but he doesn't like to use his wand and may be caught skipping charms class. The whole reason he doesn't like to use his wand is because of an incident that happened while he was six. He stole his father's wand while he was managing the cafe, and decided to try some magic. He waved the wand around and nothing happened. He decided to try saying some words he had heard on the news. He pointed the wand at a mirror and began to say the words. Cole had been watching from the doorway and as soon as he heard Kadyn start the spell, he dove in at him and tackled him to the ground before the spell could bounce off the mirror and hit him. It hit something behind where he had been standing. They stood up to find Hachisu, Kadyn's pet toad he had cared for since he was 2, lying dead, struck by the killing curse Kadyn had heard Voldemort utter on the news. Noone outside the family knows what happened, and only Kadyn and Cole know the details. People trying to find out secrets like this one is part of the reason why he doesn't trust anyone easily. |
