SIBLINGS (name/occupation/appearance):

DEFINITIONS:

NAME: Just a name. Pick one you like.

AGE: At the start of the game, you will probably be a new student (which means you will be 11). That way you'll go through sorting, and being introduced to the school with everyone else.

SEX: Male or female, basically. Your choice.

HEIGHT: Within reason.

WEIGHT: Within reason.

HAIR: Color and style, please.

EYES: Color and, if you want to comment on it, shape and size (hint - purple/violet/lavender eyes are rare in real life. Perhaps they should be rare here too).

APPEARANCE: What your character looks like - attractive, or with a limp, a scar on the left cheek etc. You might also want to describe the clothes your characters wears if they like a certain style.

If you have a picture of your character -- maybe a photo of an actor you think could play your character in a movie, or a picture you've created yourself -- you can attach it to your character sheet to help others visualize your character.

FULL-BLOOD, HALF-BLOOD or MUGGLE-BORN: This speaks for itself - but ties in with your background. Are you a member of an old established wizarding family? Are you a Muggle with an unexpected taste for magic?

BACKGROUND/HISTORY/ETC: Anything you'd like to tell us about your character and where he/she came from. What about your family? Are you the star of the family or the odd one out? Are you an only one or do you have crowds of friendly, cheerful brothers and sisters, like the Weasleys?

SCHOOL SUBJECTS:

You can choose:

One subject that you're GREAT at, TWO subjects that you're GOOD at, and one subject that you're TERRIBLE at. At everything else, you will be average (unless you have a very, very good character reason for something else - perhaps you want to be the WORST student in the school).

You may not want to use all of these at once - perhaps you want your character to be brilliant at working with magical creatures. This won't show up in First Year lessons - but you might visit Hagrid a lot and get to know whatever creatures he is currently keeping!

Or you might just want to be an average student. Average students can be great fun and important characters (think of Ron).

In the first year, your subjects are: Defence Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Astronomy, History of Magic, Herbology, and Flying.

In later years you'll also learn: Divination, Magical Creatures (care of), Ancient Runes, Muggle Studies, Arithmancy and Apparition.

DISADVANTAGE: We want to encourage characters that aren't altogether perfect. Therefore, please pick a disadvantage. If you like, your character can of course have more than one (after all, most real people have) but you only need to pick one here. Disadvantages can be things like: Short temper, limps, has back pains, can't read and write, morose, absent-minded, coward, can't trust people, is terribly ugly, or just about anything else you can think of.

HOUSE: Which House do you really want to be in? Or do you want the excitement of letting the Sorting Hat choose for you?

EQUIPMENT: Familiar: Do you want a cat, a rat or an owl? Or a toad perhaps? Choose it, describe it and name it (although you'll get a chance to buy it in Diagon Alley, unless it's a family familiar like the supposed Scabbers).

Wand: Is your wand something special? You might like to give us a description!

FAMILY MEMBERS:

Your family may play an important part in your background. So develop them fully!

Good luck!
