OOC note - I never realized this was an ongoing campaign that would last past the initial 8 hour session until the very end of the session. (That is not a problem as I'm in another game run by Scott that uses that set-up and I'll be back). But I made the character and played him without any real thought about what would come next. In retrospect, that is just perfect, as that is exactly how Blake would have acted, he rarely thinks about or plans much beyond what he was up to at any given moment. That may well change over time... but that is part of who he is now. After playing a number of complex characters who were full of secrets and schemes, I just wanted someone simple and straightforward and easy to play. When the game started I had just returned from an extended session of a live action role-playing game (Amtgard) held off-site, was sweaty, tired, and had hurt my leg to boot, I begged off some time to go shower and return to the game, which I did (hobbling back to the Hyatt), and came up with the basic character while walking back.
