Personality:

Gloria is near the end of her life. She has made her peace with her life and intends to enjoy her remaining years rather than spending time worrying over or criticizing her family. She also doesn’t want her family fussing over her. They have their own life to live and she’s waiting for her turn to die.

History:

She is Ethan, Lord Greywood’s, great-aunt. Her husband is the youngest brother of Ethan’s grandfather. She is a Windhaven by birth, a great-aunt of the recently departed lord of that house as well, though she prefers the Greywood side.
Gloria was prepared to live out the end of her life in the house that she and her husband built, but her son Roland and his wife Ivy decided otherwise. They decided that she was to accompany their daughter Vivien and son Liev to the city, saying that she could receive better medical care there. Gloria suspects that they wanted her out of their way and possibly the profits from selling her property.
To amuse herself in later years, Gloria started writing highly exaggerated tales of life in the Badlands. On a whim, she submitted them to Aquila Awake, using a pseudonym. The stories and published collections of them became a nice source of pin money for her, and she has continued to write even after her move to the city.
