David Lytham

Index

NAME: David Maskelyne Lytham

AGE: Mid-twenties

PLACE OF ORIGIN: Aquila, probably one of the outlying provinces

RACE: Human

SEX: Male

HEIGHT: 5' 10"

WEIGHT: Slender

HAIR: Light brown, almost silvery; straight and fine, worn fairly short. Clean shaven.

EYES: Light, a shade between blue and grey that can sometimes look violet.

APPEARANCE: Tallish, slim build, carriage usually relaxed and graceful; body language is expressive, tends to fall into poses. Fine, delicate features, slender hands that are surprisingly strong and nimble (he practices sleight-of-hand). Style of dress varies to suit not only the occasion but the role of the moment. Purple happens to be his favorite color.

BACKGROUND/HISTORY/ETC: Came to the city about a year ago, having done some theatre in the province where he was born, and ready to hit the big time. His success so far has been indifferent, but enough to keep him hoping. In the meantime he's been eking out his existence with more questionable lines of work. Extraverted, sociable, with a ready tongue and a precocious wit; a quicksilver personality.

SKILLS:

Primary: Acting; though he's too young yet to have a wide range, he can "be" practically anybody; has a good ear for accents and a phenomenal grasp of body language. Also has a good musical ear and a decent singing voice.

Secondary: "Parlor tricks", as he calls them: sleight-of-hand, juggling, knife throwing, string puzzles.

Tertiary: Sewing and mending. Not a designer, but he can help put together costumes and keep his own clothes in good repair.

DISADVANTAGE: Has a regrettable tendency to self-dramatize and role-play, offstage as well as on. Almost a compulsive fabricator, and it's hard to know whether he's fooling you or himself.

EQUIPMENT: Not a lot; rents a cheap room in the theatre district, has a few changes of clothing. Does have a small stock of juggling balls, silk handkerchiefs, etc. for the aforementioned parlor tricks, a set of throwing knives, and a sewing kit.
