2010Everyone except Dominic is in a meeting abut the Sorcerer King?. Dominic is missing, William knows this but ignores it and just continues to give orders. Dilin? and Gerard are sent to harass the invading forces with 200 men each. Blake to told to use his title as Ambassador and recruit allies and new food sources.Lucan?, Sebastian, and Tristan go to seek past the invading army and gather intelligence. William works on increasing the local army and strengthening the defenses of Kingstown?. William has Lucan's trump, and they communicate once per day. William orders the evacuation of vineyards and wheattown, and the burning of Wheattown to deny it to the enemy. The intelligence mission discovers that the enemy forces are growing still, they are up to 5600 men. They booby trap the wheattown on the way out with voids set to fail if a horse weight or larger crosses it. The enemy camp at the foot of the pass is being expanded outwards. It has a very large orb in its center. A second fortified camp has been built 3.5 miles out, and a third is being started 3.5 miles further out. All three form a beeline for Kingstown from the pass. The enemy is building a wall to connect the camps. They are bringing in prepackaged stone and fortification supplies from over the pass. William passes the orb they have to Lucan via trump. Tristan uses it to connect to the large orb and the "Dark Well?". Voices tell him that the well soul binds, makes connections and controls and break spirits. According to Sebastan the orb seems to have an undead spirit in it which is being tortured as the orb is used. Trisitn then destroys the connection destroying the orb he has, and causing a large crack in the large one. Communications between the other orbs (1 in each fort) seem to be disrupted. The spirit in the orb is released, messes with Tristan's slashed up fingers (from the shatter) and flies off across the pass. When William finds out about the lack of communication he orders Gerard and Dilin (via Lucan who can trump them) to attack now and seize the orb. Blake has gone with them. He kills the sorcerers and gets the orb and returns to Kingstown. Gerard and Dilin take out 100 men and lead many of the rest on a chase towards wheattown. The intelligence group penetrates the pass. The find at its peak the gates of Morder?. They find a small trail up the cliffs and around the gates. The far side of the pass is razed for miles and a semicircle of forts further out guarding the area. There is a fortified village in the razed area. The flora and fauna is significantly different than in Madagascar. Further out they see a larger town with fields, and in the distance a mountain who's top has been sheared off and a dark tower built on it. Sebastan investigates the statues and see wraith like spirits in them who want to be freed and are afraid of the dark one. He breaks contact with them when they say he is coming. Lucan trumps Benedict from the Sorcerer's Bad Ass Lands? and asked for more training. The fighting group leads 600 of the enemy into the Wheattown trap but they only have 150 left themselves in total. They turn to assault the fort again. When Blake arrives at Kingstown with the news of the first battle William starts to prepare 1000 men (leaving 250 newly trained men) to assault the forward fort. Benedict trumps Blake and sends Petra his adjunct through to help. Petra talks to William briefly. Then contacts Dilin via trump and goes through. He decides the nearly defeated forward fort is a trap and calls off the fighting groups second attack. Meanwhile William trumps Lucan and tells him Petra is here and he knows Lucan contacted Benedict. Eric then trumps Lucan and asks for a report on the previous troops sent to Madagascar (which aren't with Lucan). Lucan tells Eric they need 12,000 men. Benedict trumps Lucan but he ignores it. Petra takes Lucans trump from William and trumps Lucan. Sorcerer King forts Circular with stone walls. A tent for sorcerers in the center and an orb is in the tent. Forts are built for 3000 men each but not filled before the next is built. |
