Appearance: Cole's clothes are always clean and of excellent quality, even when they aren't pressed. His hair is sometimes beyond his control. When not in uniform his preference is for clothing that is bright, comfortable, and leaves as much of his arms and legs bare as he can get away with. He is ridiculously tall, and well muscled. He likes to wear sunglasses when outdoors.
Background
Cole is the firstborn son of Queen Ellisia of Perondor, a Golden Circle nation known for its merchant ships and the mighty trees from which they are made. Though he was born out of wedlock, he was the heir apparent for seven years, until his mother and her new husband, Prince Consort Harris, produced his younger half-brother Deric. He was thus removed from the spotlight, his future uncertain, secure only in the knowledge that, though his mother loved him and would provide for him, he was something of an embarassment and would never ascend the throne. And that's just the way he likes it.
Cole was sent to Faiella University with only two mandates: don't get thrown out, and don't reproduce. He's comfortably provided for, and he spends the money on parties, toys, gifts for friends, and frequent trips to the nearest tavern. He's also spent some money on fines for minor infractions of university policy, most notably when it was noticed that he was wearing a bright floral-print shirt under his dress jacket.
His grades are poor, but passing. He sometimes puts more time into determining the minimum effort to get a passing grade than he spends on the work itself. He has a pile of musical instruments in his room, some of which he can actually play pretty well, others that just struck his fancy and he's never picked up since. His walls are covered with sketches which he never completes.
Other information of note:
Cole has great difficulty being serious. He's not stupid, having been educated by a personal tutor from a young age, but he doesn't think things through, and tires quickly of study. His laughter is unrestrained and infectious. He's undisciplined and eager to play, like a poorly trained puppy. Thank God he's housebroken.
Cole gets along well with just about everyone, except the more straitlaced faculty and staff. Even those people he doesn't _intentially_ anger, and he can sometimes charm a smile out of them.
He's particularly fond of a tavern he refers to as The Flaming Duck.
He participates in the student drama club and the fencing club.
He is utterly uninterested in politics, except where they concern his mother or brother.
