ShieldIndex | The City Of Towers | Player Characters | Shield DescriptionShield. That is his name, and his body. His is a Warforged, created in the time of the Last War to serve a cause he knew nothing about. He is 6 and a half feet tall, broad and strong, characteristics befitting his name. He, like others of his race, is composed of metal and wood. His chest, forearms, and shins, show the wear and nicks of well used iron. His neck, stomach, arms, and thighs, with their deep cherry-wood colour, seem out of place. Much like his pensive and brooding nature, he keeps himself sheltered in a cloak of deep green. The only expression he provides, comes in the changing colour of his eyes. A mild yellow-green normally, they are known to shift based on his mood... deep and serious, piercing and angry, gentle and calm. Past pain and injustice have left him with a resentment for the cold, "dead" parts of his body. His fascination with the natural and "living" parts of who he is have led him along the path of the Warden. Apparent Age: N/A BackgroundCore MotivationI was forged to fight a war I did not begin, purchased to defend a home I did not build, and blamed for the death of a family I did not love. And still I ask the question: Who am I? InterrelationshipsAt the moment, Glacialis has hired Shield to protect him on a trek to Shae Loralyndar (a feyspire, city of eladrin) in the Eldeen Reaches. ContrastsRecurring CharactersShortly after the Last War ended, I was forced into labor under Wilhelm Sulcher? of House Cannith. I was taken to his homestead in the southern region of the Talenta Plains. Despite the ruling of the the Treaty of Thronehold, Wilhelm kept me to keep his family and goods safe. It would seem the nature of his trading was less than savory, as strange visitors and occurrences were not uncommon. On one fateful night, I had wandered from the farm, lost in thought about the War and the world as it stood then. I returned, that night, to a scene out of a slaughterhouse... Everyone had been slain, the servants, children, and the lady of the house. And the goods kept hidden in the house? Gone. Wilhelm blamed me for the incident and planned on having me returned to the forges, wood burned and metal smelted for making tools. I escaped before he was able to capture me and have since avoided his constant attempts at reclaiming me and his revenge. |
