NiraNira, Lady Lagoran, former Duchess of AquilaBorn: 3472  Lady Nira Anderon was the oldest daughter of the Anderons. The pinnacle of the family ambition seemed reached when Nira married the young Duke Atropos. However, although Nira achieved a reputation for piety and good works, becoming extremely popular with the people and known as 'the Good Duchess', the marriage was without issue, and Atropos eventually set Nira aside so that he could marry his pregnant mistress, Lady Lilly Clover. Unbeknownest to either of them, however, Nira too was pregnant, and subsequently gave birth to her son Decuma. Some people hold that Nira's son, not Lilly's, is the true heir. Nira susequently married Farquar, Lord Lagoran, the man with the most evil reputation on Aquila - although this was somewhat mitigated by his leading role in recovering Jack Kennington-Anderon and Salla Lasse from the kidnap attempt in 3501. |
