EYES: Large, dark and expressive APPEARANCE: Somewhat thinner than average; the enforced lack of an active lifestyle combined with an uncertain appetite means that neither fat nor muscle has ever really had a chance to build up, though his arms and shoulders are more well-developed than the rest of him. Not unattractive, though; fair skin, good features, fine hands. Clean shaven. The chronic pain from his disability has given his face subtle lines and shadows that make him look rather older than he actually is. Has a devastatingly attractive smile on the rare occasions when it appears. Dress is neat and, as he has moved into adolescence/young adulthood, distinctly natty; he takes a certain amount of pride in dressing well. BACKGROUND/HISTORY/ETC: Giulian is the eldest son of Lord and Lady Anderon (Delan and Bianca), though he has an elder half-brother on his mother's side, Jack Kennington-Anderon, as well as several younger siblings (sisters Renalda and Rosalor ["Rosie"], brother Gallfrey). When he was five years old, Giulian got caught in an assassination attempt on his father that overturned the carriage in which Delan was riding. Giulian was on the box with the coachman at the time (he was interested in horses and driving even then) and was flung a considerable distance when the vehicle went over. He survived the resultant injuries, but the worst of them, a fractured pelvis and smashed hip joint that included nerve damage, plus complications due to infection, left his right leg largely useless. Giulian did eventually re-learn to walk, after a fashion and with the aid of a leg brace and crutches, but the mobility thus gained is limited. Fortunately Giulian is extremely bright and was able to take to the life of the mind as some compensation for the crippling of his body, but especially as he grew out of childhood, independence has become a serious issue for him. He has a drive to excel, even if he hasn't quite decided what it is he wants to excel in yet... SKILLS: Primary: Has a good mind generally, but in view of his position has in recent years concentrated on history, politics, and economics. Secondary: Driving (carriage); loves horses and is an excellent whip. Tertiary: Artist, at the "talented amateur" level; he is rarely without a sketchbook and pencil. DISADVANTAGE: Physically disabled (as described above). Can walk with the aid of a leg brace and crutches, but any pace faster than a walk is out of the question -- as is jumping, climbing anything more difficult than stairs, etc. EQUIPMENT: Has his own custom-built sporting carriage that he enjoys driving. Has the beginnings of a personal library in addition to the family one, and a private studio for his artistic endeavors. Recently (per the "Prequel: Anderon Father & Son" thread) moved into the apartments traditionally used by the heir of Anderon, in the south wing of Anderon House; their redecoration to suit his tastes is an ongoing project. |
