2013Everyone is in Amber preparing for Deirdre's party. Invitations
William has Brands trump of Dierdres estate. Brand arrives at Williams estate drunk. He stays on the couch overnight. In the morning William trumps to Dierdres estate to find out why Dominic has not arrived at Williams. Meanwhile Brand and Tristin talk trumps. Brand gets excited about this and really gets into showing them. He gives Tristin a trump of himself and explains how to use them. Brand also gives him one of Corwin and Tristin makes contact. Corwin sizes Tristin up, they agree to talk at the party. Blake tries to setup his own poker event. Blake and Loki go to the castle library. Dillin tries to have weapon holsters concealed into her dress and gives orders to that effect. William has a conversation with Dillin about the dress and concealing weapons. He notes the color of the dress and plans a proper corsage. Brand trumps William but he ignores the contact. Brand trumps Dillin to get William. William gets a signed trump of Brand. Loki gets signed permission to be in the castle library. Dominic in inaccessible, in fact missing. William trumps back to Brand. He is painting a woman in and orange, red and yellow dress (Clarissa) on a giant frame in Williams living room. Its too large to move. He stops partway through and leaves it there, at least there is a drop cloth. Tristin has watched the whole thing. Blake finds a trail and drag marks while hunting in Garnath. While William was gone Brand had a trump contact with someone, left then came back with paints and the canvas. William cant get the servants to alter his outfit to be more in style because they are dealing with Brand. Brand is running late. Tristin is sent to the party. William waits. Tristin and Loki run across each other on the way to the party. Following the trail Blake finds a carriage down in a ravine with Dierdre's colors. He scrambles down to it. The servants are dead and show signs of being cut, no sign of passengers. As he comes out of the ravine he encounters Loki and Tristin. Dierdre visits Dillin. She wants Dillin to go to the party with Prince Etien. Dierdre is not happy and wants to be introduced to this William. Loki send a magic messenger to Dillin about the carriage. He pops a blood vessel doing it. Dillin gets the message and passes it on to Dierdre who rips her dress as she turns around. Panic ensues among the servants. Dierdre starts trumping people and ignores Dillin. William finally gets Brand dressed hours late. Brand trumps the whole carriage to Dierdre's. Brand left a smaller painting of Clarissa in Williams house before getting dressed. <BIG>Dierdre's Estate</BIG> Guests are arriving. Dierdre is not dressed. She talks to Corwin, who promptly leaves the estate. Blake is questioned. Oberon has sent his regrets that he will not attend. Present at the estate: Eric, Brand, Dierdre, Julian, Bleys (but no one has seen him). Dierdre gives Dillin a list of things to do. She rips the other side of her dress off and rides off. Dillin gives William the list. Blake et al. arrive. List:
William starts giving orders. Tristen is sent to deal with the ice sculpture. He gets security to move it. The sculpture is moved to the table the artist is still trying to work on it. William sorts the mess out and gets it corrected. Loki is redeployed as a Samoye. Blake leaves with Loki to assist the search for Dominic. They ask for "soiled materials" they are given a cod piece. They summon a magic sniffer. It heads towards Garnath. The Ambassador from Byzantium arrives. The party is stalled awaiting Dierdre's getting dressed by starting a new tradition, a sunset viewing. Deirdre trumpped back at the last minute. She does thank William and Dillin for stalling for setting everything up. Tristin sees Corwin come in the back door bloody and injured. Eric asks Tristin why Blake isnt present. He is not please Blake went to search for Dominic. The magic sniffer goes near the carriage accident site then deeper into the forest. They find Dominic's personal servants deveined and their innards fed apon. They find Dominic's clothes axes, trumps, blood, and other axe. The trail ends in a clearing and just vanishes under the full moon. Loki trumps Dierdre and she forcefully pulls him through the card. Blake grabs him and comes through too. They are in the hallway surrounded by lords and ladies. Dierdre trumps Fiona, pass her some of Dominics blood and says find him. Loki draws the clearing for Tristin. Dillin is given Dominics trumps. Blake finds his date after ignoring her all night. Blake and the date find Eric who is talking to the Byzantine ambassador "something about William". Eric is upset he could not introduce Blake to certain people. Blake doesnt want to stay in Madagascar. "The King sends people like Dominc out to Madagascar to disappear" -Eric. Eric questions Blakes loyalty to him or to Dierdre. Eric wants MAdagascar to sign a treaty with Byzantium over the Ghensesian "make it happen". William and Dillin say goodbyes to Dierdre and as a consequence are not the first to leave. Dierdre says to find Dominic as the leave. While we discuss it Tristin teleports us to the clearing. Blake gets a trump from Fiona "Hi Fi!" he has a talk with her and says Loki is nearby. Loki then gets a psychic connection. Fiona then starts talking to Loki as well as Tristin. She needs them to form a triangle. Dillin should stand in the center. William does also. Fiona gets us "there" but falls unconcious, screams. An arch goes up to the moon and we go up to it. Everyone is disoriented. We arrive in a clearing in a garden of a palace on the side of a mtn. There is a mosaic of the sky in the middle of the garden. There are people moving on the walls the architecture is Middle Eastern. William recognizes we are in Ghensesh. The magic sniffer goes off and we follow it to another garden full of posts, chains, gravel and cacti. Dominc is attached to a post and has been flayed. Tristin looks for magic. There is a lot but nothing specific more like Fung Shui enchantments are in the chains. A really powerful entity is overlooking the palace like a Djinn but has not seen us. The plan is for Blake to suppress the chains, Dillin to braek them with her chakra, William to open a trump to Dierdres estate. It works. Back at the estate Dierdre is happy, but beams start coming down from the moon into the forest. Everyone gets a minor milestone. |
