VictorHobertyNAME: Lord Victor Hoberty AGE: 19 PLACE OF ORIGIN: Aquila RACE: Homo Sapiens SEX: Male HEIGHT: 6'2" WEIGHT: 180 lbs. (toned, medium frame) HAIR: light brown, long and straight, (ponytail) EYES: bright green-blue with gold flecks APPEARANCE: Victor is an attractive young man. Tall, in excellent shape, and with very well developed legs and forearms. Although his hair is worn long, his height and the width of his shoulders insure he is unlikely to be accidentally mistaken for a woman. BACKGROUND/HISTORY/ETC: Eldest son of the eldest son of the present lord of house Hoberty, Victor has grown up with the full knowledge that some day he will be in charge of his house. His primary tutor while a young man was a Jesuit with somewhat romantic notions of his own, and these were passed on to the young Hoberty. (Courtly manners, history, and latin were also a part of his studies.) Many hours every day (except Sunday) since the age of 5 were spent learning several styles of fencing. Over the last 4 years, Victor has trained and practiced in secret to perfect several techniques of his own. This has left Victor in excellent shape. It is clear to his father and great uncle that Victor's childhood education is drawing to a close. His mother is somewhat concerned that he hasn't shown especial interest in women. (Victor is shy around women). SKILLS: Primary: Bladework (specializing in cloak-and-sword & dagger+open hand) Secondary: Diplomacy Tertiary: Dancing DISADVANTAGE: Victor has romantic notions of honor which are somewhat anachronistic and could easily get him into trouble (especially with women). Although well versed in etiquette and diplomacy, he has a natural tendency to get to the point which he has never entirely gotten under control. He is not the subtlest of men by any measure, as befits his family's motto. He has a short temper, especially about slights to his house, most especially when it is applied that their agrarian roots mean that they are mud-footed clods. EQUIPMENT: Victor is in line to be Head of House. In addition to a small suite of rooms in the main Hoberty manor, he has a small flat a few blocks away where he spends most of his time. He has one personal servant (valet), Melvin Worth. The flat had an interior garden in the roman style, but Victor converted this to a fencing area four years ago. Victor has a fine collection of swords, daggers, fencing masks, etc. Some are of a quality such that they are in display cases in his flat. He makes a point of doing all the cleaning/polishing/sharpening of them himself. |
