The upper city includes the Nest, the various nobles' houses, the Cathedral, the Grand Hotel, and the fancier restaurants and stores. It is also higher geographically. The lower city is... lower and poorer, with the less skilled working classes and shadier characters. The lower city spills down toward the river and its docks. Apart from those regions is the University district with its campus and supporting businesses and residences. The University is upriver from the main portion of the city, leaving it less polluted than the lower city. Between those poles are transition areas of nicer residences and businesses. St. John's Wood where Sasha and Elissa have their lodgings would be one of these transition zones. |
