Heraldic symbol: A ram rampant on a golden field surmounted by a ducal crown and having, above and to the left on the side towards which the ram is facing, a small blue square, a lower-case Roman "H"
Colours: Red and yellow with white borders.
Motto: Under my blows walls crumble.
Symbolizes: Perseverance.

House Hoberty has something of a dubious reputation - and not just because of the scandal over Lord Merian's death.

Its area of responsibility is agricultural, and there's a bit of snobbishness about this from other Houses. Hoberty - and its House Minors - are often seen as yokels, thick. Delan Anderon was appalled years ago when a Hoberty was proposed for his bride. Hoberties are popularly supposed to come clumping in with clay on their boots.

In recent news, Dr. Hoberty was killed in a fire which occurred the same night as the Carlysle plot to cease the kingdom. Following the ambush and capture of most of the family, Gillis' twin brother (Cavin) was killed routing the Carlysle forces and Lord Willif suffered a fatal heart attack.
