He has a medium build, getting slightly rounder as he ages. He is physically fit, but not overly athletic.

Though not as effective as when he was younger, he is known for his warm smile and twinkling eyes. His manner is relaxed and earnest. He is not one to follow fashion, so his mannerisms and appearance are influenced by his galactic experience as well as what he learned during his last trip to Aquila approximately twenty-five years ago. Although he may not always be proper, everything is done with good intentions.

Edmund's original visit to Aquila was for a business meeting with Vladimir, Lord Bahlmis. He was stunned to learn that Vladimir had orchestrated a coup several months beforehand and was killed during the fighting. To borrow a business term, Edmund discovered that the home office had undergone a major restructuring. While meeting the current residents of the house, he found himself attracted to his mother's home world and extended his stay long beyond the week that he had originally planned.

During his stay, he met and fell in love with Honoria Tremontaine. Her gentle nature and quiet intelligence complimented him perfectly. He was surprised and thrilled when she agreed to marry him, knowing that his stay on Aquila was only temporary. When he could no longer ignore his business concerns, they packed their things and left together, travelling the galaxy before settling on Kuiper Station.

Edmund went through some difficult times as Leonard, his most trusted associate, was convicted for his role in financing the Bahlmis coup. The business started to suffer and Edmund began to drink. Honoria stepped in to save the business, and the announcement that they were expecting their first child was the shock he needed to start his recovery.

Now Edmund and Honoria return to Aquila with their three children for the wedding of Talaren Bahlmis and Ofelia Acciaio and an extended family vacation.
